Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a teenager in Greenock in Inverclyde two months ago.

The body of Jack Doyle, 17, was found at the rear of houses on Hope Street near Antigua Street at about 09:45 on 3 January.

Strathclyde Police said a 21-year-old man and 27-year-old man had been detained.

They were expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday.

Earlier this week detectives investigating the teenager's death made a fresh appeal for information.

Jack was the nephew of Elaine Doyle, who was strangled in Greenock in 1986.
