Vandals puncture tyres on 35 cars in Knightswood
Published: 30th Apr 2012 12:42:08
Vandals have punctured the tyres on 35 cars in Glasgow's Knightswood area.
Police said the cars were targeted sometime between 22:30 on Friday and 07:00 on Saturday.
The cars were all parked in five streets - Polnoon Avenue, Loanfoot Avenue, Glanderston Drive, Archerhill Avenue and Archerhill Crescent.
Det Con Scott Bruce, of Strathclyde Police, said the incident was "wanton vandalism" and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
"Whoever did this obviously had no concern for the distress, inconvenience or cost that this has on the people involved," he said.
"Each car had at least two tyres punctured, some had four.
"Although it would appear that it happened quite late at night, the area is residential so it is quite possible that someone may have seen or heard something that will help us with our enquiries."
