Labour takes control of West Lothian Council

Labour has taken control of West Lothian Council from the previous SNP coalition following last week's local government election.
The Labour group will run West Lothian as a minority administration. It has 16 councillors compared with the SNP's 15.
Both parties won two more seats at the expense of independent candidates.
The single Conservative member Tom Kerr will continue to serve in the role of Lord Provost. Councillor Dave King has been named as Depute Provost.
