Woman dies in crash on the M3 motorway at Basingstoke

A woman has died in a crash on the M3 motorway at Basingstoke in Hampshire.
A Volkswagen Golf and a Honda Jazz collided between junction seven and six on the northbound carriageway during the evening rush-hour.
The Honda overturned on impact and woman driving it was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Volkswagen driver was treated for shock but was not seriously injured. Another man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The northbound carriageway has been shut between junctions seven and six and drivers have been diverted along the A30.
