Three children who attend an Aberdeenshire nursery are in hospital after an outbreak of E. coli.

NHS Grampian said two confirmed and four suspected cases of E. coli O157 infection in children who attend Rose Lodge Nursery School in Aboyne were being investigated.

About 40 children attend the nursery at any one time.
