Youth in court in connection with Kilmarnock murder bid

A youth is due to appear in court in connection with the attempted murder of a 13-year-old boy in Ayrshire.
The teenager was left seriously injured following an incident near Queen's Drive in Kilmarnock at about 02:40 on Sunday.
He was taken by ambulance to Crosshouse Hospital where his condition was later described as critical.
Police said the 16-year-old was expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court later.
