Elderly man dies after house fire

A 72-year-old man has died following a fire at a house in West Dunbartonshire.
Emergency services were called to the property in Hillside Avenue, Burnbrae, Alexandria, at 0415 GMT on Thursday.
The man, who has not been named, was removed from the house and taken to the town's Vale of Leven Hospital but died a short time later.
Strathclyde Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
